Kennard of Grimm and his baby dragon Tala return home to find everyone at the university under a sleeping charm.
One victim is his sister, Violet.
Before they can sort much, three witches arrive, sent by the surrounding villages, to investigate the lack of custom from the castle. They discover the sleepers are slowly fading.
Somehow, an intruder has infiltrated the keep and unleashed a vengeful dragon spirit. They suspect the intruder might also be responsible for the curse, but the knowledge does not come with instructions on how to fix either problem.
If Kennard, Tala, and the witches can’t find the intruder, subdue the dragon, and wake the sleepers, everybody affected by the curse, including Violet, could die.
